Vintage Design
Danish designer Poul Cadovius designed this shelving system in the 1960s. Cadovius came up with a new idea for a floating modular shelving system in the 1940s, for which he received a gold medal at the Finnish Furniture Fair and several other awards. Cadovius later bought the furniture company France & Søn and renamed it Cado. In the company he worked with a number of important Danish designers (Sigvard Bernadotte, Grete Jalk and Arne Vodder) who designed furniture for him. His Royal System shelving system was a major contribution to Danish modernism and inspired many future designers thanks to its perfect combination of form and function. It is made of walnut wood and the shelves can be rearranged in various ways as required. The shelves are in perfect original condition.
