Vintage Design
Charming 5-door vintage pearwood cabinet designed in the 1950s by the great designer Paolo Buffa, fine Italian manufacture.
The cabinet is made entirely in the light pear wood frame, rectangular in shape. Supporting it are eight punched feet with the saucer toe in patina gilded brass. Typical elements of Buffa’s design.
The doors are developed in height and centrally each boast a mirror. The four side ones are more slender as they are in pairs. The shape is beveled rectangular, with an absolutely wonderful sinuosity. All feature an eight-pointed star in the center.
The central door is wider, and at the sides it is adorned with two decorative brass interlaced elements, ending in a point. All the doors feature a lock that allows them to be opened and closed. Keys are present and are made of patinated brass.
Let’s move on to describe the interior: the central door houses a very tall chest of drawers, with eight large drawers useful for storing miscellaneous linens. Above these are four smaller drawers, arranged in pairs on two shelves. Above these is a dark wood shelf dividing the missing space: underneath is an additional clear glass divider. The side doors, on the other hand, are suitable for storing coats and clothes.
The closet, as you can see, is not suitable for any room, but only for elegant rooms with the typical vintage taste.
