This is a stunning antique French walnut and marquetry Louis Revival serpentine fronted fronted bombe commode, circa 1870 in date. This gorgeous commode features a Griotte rouge variegated shaped marble top with moulded edges to the front and sides. The commode is superbly decorated with a marquetry of tied bunches of floral foliage and trailing leaves. It has three full width drawers with applied ormolu foliate handle pulls and cartouche key plates and is raised on splayed feet terminating in ormolu sabots. This piece is truly unique and is guaranteed to bring beauty and charm to your home for many years to come.
